Overview
The Prize Distribution Guidelines explain how Energy Mentors verifies winning participants and processes prize payments.

Our goal is to ensure that prizes are distributed fairly, securely, and efficiently while complying with financial and verification requirements.

Your Bank Account
Prizes are paid into a bank account held in the winning participant's own name.
Participants who do not yet have a personal bank account are strongly encouraged to open one as soon as results are announced. Many students opened an account for the first time this year and completed the process without difficulty.
Opening an account early is the fastest route to receiving your prize on time.
Prize Distribution Process
From the moment results are finalised to the moment your prize lands, here is every stage and what happens in it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Exceptional circumstances. In rare cases where it is genuinely impractical for a winning participant to open a bank account, Energy Mentors may, at its sole discretion, consider routing funds to the account of a parent. This is a last resort and is not offered as a standard payment option.

Where it is considered, additional information and government documents are required from both the participant and the parent, and a legal adult must sign a statement authorising the payment and releasing Energy Mentors from further liability. Associated delays will occur until all conditions have been met. Note that in some countries a person able to make financial decisions must be over the age of 21, which may be a parent or guardian rather than the participant. Participants who believe this applies to them should contact Energy Mentors before submitting payment information.
